The Hamilton High School Envirothon team was named the 2022 National Champion in Oral Presentation and placed 9th overall at the National Envirothon competition held at Miami University in Ohio over the summer.
The competition was held during the week of July 23rd through the 30th. The exciting week consisted of team trainings, wildlife and environmental tours, one full day of testing, a fun day at Kings Island amusement park, an oral presentation preparation day, and final presentations.
The overall score was the combined scores of the five testing areas and the oral presentation. The HHS team scored an almost perfect score in the oral presentation 196/200. The presentation topic was “Waste to Resources." The students were presented with an extremely in-depth problem and had six hours to put a 20 minute presentation together to solve the problem.
The district is extremely proud of the team who serve as a shining example of the many great accomplishments our students have made and will continue to make.
